Federalist senior contributor and senior fellow in constitutional studies at the Cato Institute Ilya Shapiro joined Fox News’s “Special Report with Brett Baier” on Monday to discuss the gloomy future of President Obama’s legacy.
With Donald Trump’s inauguration just weeks away, Obama is frantically meeting with Democratic lawmakers in an attempt to salvage his signature health-care law and his legacy, which was largely constructed by executive orders that can be undone by the Republican president-elect when he takes office.
“If you live by executive action, you die by executive action,” Shapiro said. “I would expect on day one, two, three of the Trump administration for there to be a rescinding of a lot of rules and regulations, a lot of orders.”
